The Rock of Cashel

The Rock of Cashel is where St. Patrick baptised the high king of Ireland. The sharp point of his crozier went through the kings foot, but the king did not react thinking it was part of the ceremony instead of a painful accident.

The official web site for the Rock of Cashel is at http://www.heritageireland.ie/en/South-East/RockofCashel/ . The South Tipperary County Council. An on line encyclopedia description of the Rock of Cashel is at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_of_cashel and at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cashel,_Tipperary and at http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/03401a.htm.

On May 2, 2007, I took another photograph of the Rock of Cashel.
